Premium vehicle delivery

BMW Welt in Munich, Germany has been operating since October 2007. The success of this spectacular prestige project is also due in part to Cirquent's expertise. Cirquent was involved in all phases of the project – this included IT planning and implementation, as well as planning and designing the vehicle delivery and shop processes.

The task: Processes and IT systems that drive the world

The core process of BMW Welt is car delivery: Customers come from near and far to collect their new car - a very special brand experience. From the outside BMW Welt is shaped by overwhelming architecture. No less unusual were the requirements for the IT systems and processes: For example, on the IT side the task was to develop a central management system to control the car centre. At the same time, all workflows related to handing over the car were to be aligned and designed with the customer in mind.

The service: Functional and IT expertise from one source

The added value for the BMW Group was mainly a result of Cirquent's broad-based expertise: In the project the Cirquent consultants were equally responsible for functional and IT topics. Short coordination channels guaranteed extremely efficient workflows. When the process design and system implementation had been completed, a project team of nine worked on site towards the operational start-up. Cirquent managed all the test runs: with simulation all the processes associated with the cars and the customers who would be collecting them were tested thoroughly in terms of quality and quantity.

The benefits: BMW Welt is alive

First rate car delivery – this is what the BMW Group has established with BMW Welt in Munich. The processes and IT systems developed by Cirquent form the backbone and the nerve centre of this unique brand platform.
